Duluth native Al Church made a name for himself in the Twin Cities music scene as a guitar player in acts like BBGun and Al Church and State. He’s also been a sideman with Haley Bonar, Actual Wolf and various other acts. And, of course, there was his Hall and Oates cover band, Private Oates. Lately he’s stepped up to take center stage as a multi-instrumentalist orchestrating dance-club rock with intimate lyrics, vocals and personal subject matter. His new album, Night Games, was scheduled for release one week prior to his gig on the Homegrown trolley.
